KINC CREATES MURALS FOR CAMCO MANAGEMENT'S LOBBY

THE CHALLENGE
High profile property manager CAMCO called on Kinc to design and deliver two 13x20 foot permanent murals of Chicago's Columbian Exposition of 1893 for the lobby of their flagship Gold Coast building on East Ontario.

Great idea! Now how do we do it?

KINC COMES TO THE RESCUE
Multiple photo images were combined to create a balanced composition with a foreground, middle ground, and background. Working with computer rendering, Kinc's artists hand-tinted 1/2 inch scale models of the final paintings.

Mirroring the rendering process, the murals were first painted using a monochromatic palette, then overlaid with colored glazes to recreate the hand-tinted quality of the original.  The completed murals were carefully transported to the East Ontario St. lobby where final measurements were made, the murals were split into sections, and then wallpapered onto the upper level of the lobby walls.
