WALK LIKE AN EGYPTIAN
KINC TURNS MARSHALL FIELDS INTO ANCIENT EGYPT FOR GLAMORAMA

THE COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE
How do you turn a department store into an ancient Egyptian palace worthy of A-list celebrities?

Marshall Field’s annual Glamorama has become one of the hottest events on the celebrity A-list, with film, music and fashion celebrities jetting to the Windy City for a star-studded fashion show and glittering VIP after party at Marshall Field's famous Walnut Room.

For the 2002 event, Field's asked Kinc to transform Field's into an Egyptian palace with custom wall murals creating atmosphere throughout the entire 7th floor.

Great idea! Now how do we do it?

KINC COMES TO THE RESCUE
Working from photographs of Egyptian artifacts, Kinc's artists designed authentic-looking but witty murals that upon close inspection revealed references to the modern-day.  Walls, pillars, and doorways throughout the 7th floor were all decorated to create a seamless atmosphere.
