KINC LIGHTS UP FIELD'S 'SEASON OF INTRIGUE'

THE COMMUNICATION CHALLENGE
When the client hands you some ad copy and a tiny acrylic chandelier, how do you turn that into a showstopping piece that evokes the feeling of high-end, substantial goods?

THE DESIGN SOLUTION
For Marshall Field's luxurious fall campaign "A Season Of Intrigue," Kinc designed a spectacular mobile featuring fourteen 6-foot tall candelabras in a striking palette of black, eggplant, and mirror.

Great idea! Now, how do we build it?...

KINC COMES TO THE RESCUE

The primary design challenge of the installation was to evoke the feeling of high-end, substantial goods without cluttering sight lines or exceeding the atrium’s weight limit of 1,000 lbs. The six-armed candelabras posed a weight issue, which Kinc addressed by hollowing out the sections - removing material from the internal 1” of the thickness of each of the chandeliers, and then laminating 1/4” skins on them.

THE IMPACT

Kinc's “Think Fall: A Season Of Intrigue” received the 2006 Bronze RACie Award in Multi Media, given annually by the Retail Marketing And Advertising Association to recognize innovation and excellence in retail advertising.
